Our Mission
Founded in 1980, Sentinelles is an independent, non-ideological foundation recognised as being of public benefit and Zewo-certified. It works to promote access to rights and self-reliance for people in difficulty – prioritising women and children – through personalised and tailored support.
Our Vision
Our vision is of a world in which people in vulnerable situations are supported and able to access their fundamental rights
A mission, values, a commitment
To support and empower: this is Sentinelles’ mission. It carries out this mission in accordance with the values of solidarity, commitment, humanity, dialogue and participation, under the supervision of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, which ensures the annual transparency of its accounts and activities.
Our strength: a holistic approach
Sentinelles does not limit itself to emergency response. Its intervention model integrates medical, psychosocial, educational and economic dimensions, taking into account the individual within their environment and community. It is this holistic approach that enables lasting change, going beyond immediate assistance.
Sentinelles operates in several African countries, in Colombia and in Switzerland, with programmes supported by public donations.
We carry out our mission in accordance with the values of solidarity, commitment, humanity, exchange and participation.
